Under the protection of the Space Wolves chapter of the Imperial Space Marines, the planet of Valhalla is an arctic world within the Vega Secundus star system.  Freyja’s Fjord is an inlet of the vast Heimdallr Ocean that reaches deep into the land of Gersemi, the largest continent on the planet.  On the Southern shore of the fjord, Mount Mimir looms above the waters like a stern giant, its icy peaks unassailable.  Immediately West of the mountain, Fulla’s Forest extends across the frigid landscape.  The forest is full of strange alien trees that retain their green ponds even in the winter snows; this seemingly enchanted area is reputed to be the breeding ground of the rare psyber-raven.  East of Mount Mimir, fierce feral wolves hunt through the snowy grounds of Woden’s Woods, an area often used by Orks to stage their invasions of the planet.  On the North shore of the fjord, Gefjun’s Glacier drives its way down from the polar icecap to the brink of the water like a monumental juggernaut.  Each spring, great chunks of ice break free from the edge of the glacier and fall into the fjord to form giant icebergs.  The top of the glacier is unstable; hence, it is deemed too dangerous for troops to traverse.  East of the glacier, the ruins of Tyr’s Temple are strewn across the ground.  Decimated by war and decayed through centuries of neglect, little remains of the vast temple grounds; a sheet of sleet and snow line the once-hallowed halls.  West of the glacier, the small Imperial town of Baduhenna slumbers beneath a blanket of snow and sludge.  The buildings of the town are abandoned, battered by artillery shells, and frozen in the chilly air.  It is here that the mighty Space Wolves have repelled many Ork invasions.

If you intend to play this map as scripted, you will need to use “fixed” starting positions.  Player 1 should be a Space Wolf army.  Player 2 can be any Imperial or allied army.  Players 3 and 4 should be Ork armies.

This map is designed for up to 4 players.  It is suitable for team-play or for a free-for-all battle against live opponents.  It is also suitable for a single player to fight against the computer AI.  It is designed so that you can use any combination of victory objectives desired.  Although scripted as a battle between the Space Wolves and the Orks, the map is designed so that you can use any combination of armies you prefer.  The map is large, 512 x 512 in size.  The map contains a total of 1 critical location, 4 slag deposits, 4 relics, and 24 strategic points.
