Special Scenarios

The Imperial city of Gilgamesh is situated on the planet of Shamesh near the Eye of Terror, where it has frequently suffered attacks by Khorn’s Raiders.  For centuries, the Imperium has resisted the Chaos aggression.  Recently, Gilgamesh has fallen before the onslaught of evil and become tainted by the powers of the dark lords.  Already the river runs red with blood, and the ominous stench of death pervades throughout the city.  Two psi-towers, located near the South edge of the city, are acting to pull dark energies from the Eye of Terror and expedite the spread of the Chaos taint; they must be destroyed if there can be any chance of defeating the Chaos forces.  Determined to drive the armies of Chaos back into the Eye of Terror, the Eldar have mobilized an army to purge Gilgamesh from the tainted ones, from those who call evil good, and call good evil.  The Eldar gods and the Chaos gods stand on the battlefield, poised for combat.

If you intend to play this map as scripted, you will need to use “fixed” starting positions.  Player 1 should be an Eldar army, and will start the game with an Avatar.  Player 2 should be a Chaos army, and will start the game with a Bloodthirster.

This map is designed for two players.  It is suitable for play against a live opponent or for a single player to fight against the computer AI.  It is designed so that you can use any combination of victory objectives desired.  The map is large, 512 x 512 in size.  The map contains a total of 2 relics, 3 critical locations, 4 slag deposits, and 18 strategic points.
