Capital Ciudad (Capital City) is at the heart of Joya Proxima, a planet that acts as the governmental nexus of the Brillante Star Cluster.  Capital Ciudad is a magnificent Imperial city with extra-wide medians in its broad boulevards, impressive architecture, and elaborate parks.  Ebano Capitol (the Ebony Capitol) lies in the center of the city, a tremendous multi-leveled government building with twin towers that administrates Imperial business throughout the star cluster.  Each major level of the building contains at least one strategic location.  Backup power generators (represented in the game by slag deposits) are located within the basement to provide energy to the building in the event of a power outage.  The heliport positioned on the roof is considered to be a critical location, designed to evacuate officials in the event of an emergency.  Two outstanding museums are located nearby, one on each side of the capitol.  The Musea de Natural Historia y Botanica (Museum of Natural History and Botany) houses displays of fossil bones and samples of rare alien vegetation.  The Conquistador Militar Museo (Conqueror’s Military Museum) displays military vehicles commonly used by the Imperium in famous crusades.  Across the street from the capitol building are the grounds of Aguila Academia (Eagle Academy), which is the most prestigious university in the star sector.  Adjoining the academy is Aguila Estadio (Eagle Stadium), where rallies, political meetings, athletic events, and various public gatherings are commonly hosted.  Few Imperial cities are of such great importance; even more rare are those that have avoided the ravages of war…until now.

This map is designed for up to 6 players.  It is suitable for team-play or for a free-for-all battle against live opponents.  It is also suitable for a single player to fight against the computer AI.  Although scripted to include at least one Imperial force, the map is suitable for any combination of armies you prefer.  The map is enormous, 1024 x 1024 in size, so it may take a long time to load.  It is designed to use any combination of victory objectives desired.  The map contains a total of 3 critical locations, 6 relics, 4 slag deposits, and 48 strategic points.

Design Note:  Most of the buildings on this map are rimmed with walls and roofing to form a thick buffer area between the outside of the building and the playable inside area of the structure.  These “rim” areas have two major purposes.  First, they conceal minor flaws (such as grass growing just inside the walls of the building).  Second, they create the illusion that hallways, stairways, and rooms exist inside these areas.  I ask you to avoid zooming into these areas.  Zooming in will only reveal the flaws and destroy the illusion.  The map will be more effectively enjoyable if you play at the normal viewing range.  Be wary; troops with jump packs love to rappel down into buildings through the skylights.

Tactical Note: most strategic points, critical locations, slag deposits, and relics on this map are located in areas that are inaccessible to ground vehicles.  Consequently, vehicles may have to play a more restricted role in this mission than is usual, and infantry troops will be more prominent in importance.  A suggested strategy is to use your vehicles to sweep the streets while utilizing infantry to secure buildings.
